Corporate sustainability support

Client:
PwC UK
Start date:
November 2010
Completed:
December 2011

PwC’s vision to become the iconic professional services firm includes a significant focus on sustainability. To this end, Brook Lyndhurst was commissioned to provide support to PwC's environmental and social sustainability programme in the UK.

The programme of research has involved numerous phases. The first phase comprised qualitative research to explore staff attitudes towards, and experiences of, sustainability in the workplace. The results of this preliminary work were used to inform the development and deployment of a quantitative survey, to assess attitudes and behaviours across the whole of PwC UK. Subsequently the survey results were used to devise a segmentation model, which is being used by the Corporate Sustainability team to develop and implement targeted initiatives to improve sustainability performance. In the last phase of work, we assisted PwC with the development and testing of messages to enhance the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives within the firm.

Using PayPoints in local shops, you pay in advance for electricity you are going to use in cash (cards not accepted). This balance gets digitally recorded on [...]
